Singer and guitarist, José Luís Martínez, was the co-founder of the grammy-winning Los Van Van - probably Cuba's most influential band of the past 30 years. After leaving Cuba in the 80's and settling in Spain for over 10 years, he has re-located to New York and started Son Amigos with percussionist Kenny Kozol. Both improvisers at heart they play a repertoire of classic Cuban son, guaracha, cha cha cha, bolero and rumba .
